South Korea draw with Uruguay, and interview with Son Heung-min (Qatar World Cup 2022)


In the first match of Group H of the 2022 Qatar World Cup held on November 24 at the Education City Stadium in Doha, Qatar, Korea played better. However, unfortunately, Uruguay drew 0-0.

Korean team captain Son Heung-min, who wore a mask because of an injury, said in an interview after the match.

“It felt good because the players fought well against a strong team.”
And when asked about his facial injuries, he said: “I played to not be as concerned as possible, and my teammates helped me.”

Regarding his next opponent, Ghana, he said: "Ghana is a strong team with high speed and strong stamina. So we have to prepare more than today."

Heung-Min Son suffered a facial injury in a Premier League match, but played full-time in a mask against Uruguay.
Team Korea will fight Ghana on November 28th.
