The American Recording Academy, which hosts the Grammy Awards, announced on November 15 that BTS were nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance ('My Universe') and Best Music Video ('Once To Come') categories.
Coldplay's 9th album, which features the song 'My Universe' collaborated by BTS and Coldplay, was nominated for Album of the Year.
If Coldplay receives the Album of the Year Awards, BTS members RM, Suga, and J-Hope, who co-wrote and composed 'My Universe', will also be awarded.
BTS won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance: Abba ('Don't Shut Me Down'), Camilla Cabello and Ed Sheeran ('Bam Bam'), Post Malone and Doja Cat ('I Like You'), Sam Smith and Kim Compete with Petra ('Unholy').
The candidate song 'My Universe' entered the US Billboard's main single chart 1st place and the UK official chart 3rd place, and has been loved for a long time.
The British music magazine NME gave the song 4 stars (out of 5) and evaluated it as "a heavenly song that emphasizes the power of unity, hope and love."
'Once To Come', nominated for Best Music Video, is a song that looks back on BTS' 9-year history.
The music video, directed by Lumpence, contains symbols that remind us of previously released songs such as 'Spring Day' and 'Blood Sweat & Tears'.
