The recently released K-Exorcism and occult film 'Dark Nuns' topped the Korean box office.
The movie tells the story of two nuns fighting desperately to evict one of 12 strong demons possessed by a young boy's body.
The demon-fighting ritual is called the "Strict exorcism ritual."
This is an exorcist ceremony that is held in secret, unofficially, in the Roman Catholic Church.
In the movie, priests from the Rose Cross Society, a secret Vatican organization, are on this exorcism mission.
But now, Korean priests from Rose Cross were performing secret missions in other areas.
That's why the main character, Sister Yunia, fights this evil spirit with Sister Michaela.
However, even within the church, there is opposition that a nun, not an ordained priest, performs this exorcism ritual.
Overcoming the opposition of the church and many difficult tasks and crises, the two nuns fight fiercely with the demon possessed by the child's body.
Sister Yunia, the main character of the film, is played by Song Hye-kyo, the heroine of the drama Descendants of the Sun and the best actress of the Korean Wave.
